Welcome back to Brisbane Road for the second competitive fixture for the O’s this season. Orient, take on Wycombe Wanderers in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Richie Wellen’s men picked up their first win of the season here in E10 on Saturday and will be looking to achieve back to back victories and build a good winning momentum. Wycombe on the other hand are yet to record a victory so far in the opening two league games. The Wanderers will be looking for a cup victory to get moral going.
4 mins – Huge block on the line from REG as he makes up for his poor clearance that lead to the Wycombe attack.
5 mins – Another huge clearance on the line, this time from Mitchell. The no.11 clears a goal bound header from a corner.
6 mins – The O’s win the ball up high and work a shot but it’s a pea roller and easily gathered from the Wycombe goalie, the show was struck by Moorhouse.
8 mins – Big chance for Mitchell, Norris the Wycombe goalie passes it straight out to him. Rather than taking a touch and setting himself he shoots first time, but gets it all wrong and it’s miles wide.
11 mins – Excellent challenge from Bakinson who blocks the Wycombe attackers shot after he skinned Craig on the counter attack.
16 mins – Great play again by Bakinson who wins the ball up high, plays in Moorhouse but his shot is straight at Norris again.
30 mins – Mitchell meets a whipped in corner at the near post but it just goes over the bar.
33 mins – Wycombe find themselves on the attack with a 2 vs 1, however they muck it up and blaze their attempt over the bar.
36 mins – Wellens clears a goal bound shot from Wycombe on the line. 3 in one half is rather impressive.
37 mins – Orient have a huge chance to open the scoring as Azeem wins the ball up high but plays in centre half Simpson over Moorhouse and Simpsons attempted cut back across goal is cleared.
39 mins – Craig puts in a good cross which causes havoc. With a Wycombe defender deflecting the ball towards his own goal, however Norris is on hand to scoop clear.

45 mins – Awful defending by Orient, REG leaves his pass back short and the Wycombe striker takes it round the goalie at a tight angle, but can only find the side netting. Huge let off for Orient.
52 mins – Good chance for the O’s another front post header just goes wide of the post from a corner.
53 mins – Charlie Wellens has a shot just drift wide after a good move from the O’s after a deflection. The following corner comes to nothing.
77 mins – Azeem has a shot from 25 yards but it’s blasted wide. Not much to write home about this second half.
79 min – Great spin from O’Neill to play in Perkins but his snapshot is just wide.
81 mins – Wycombe’s No.7 has a shot from the edge of the box on his left foot which just curls wide.
86 mins – Great counter by the O’s, Azeem leading the charge, plays in Adaramola who’s effort is wide and hits the side netting. Best chance the O’s have had all night.
92nd – DJ is causing choas and gets Orient a corner….it comes to nothing.
93rd – Simpson scores an own goal. Wycombe attack and put in a ball from the right and he knocks it into his own net with his left foot. 0-1.
