Good afternoon, and welcome back to Brisbane Road. The mighty O’s take on Championship side Watford for the first time in nearly forty years today in their last pre-season friendly before they’re back in league action next Saturday.
4 mins – Orient with a nice passing move finds Bakinson who takes on a curling effort from the edge of the box but his shot curls over the bar.
8 mins – More great movement from the O’s on the edge of the Watford box earns them a corner after Connolly’s snapshot was closed down. It’s played to Tom James on the edge of the area, and his long range effort is just wide of the Watford goal.
10 mins – Huge chance for the O’s as Connelly is played in by Bakinson on the right hand side of the box, but his snapshot just creeps wide.
12 mins – Koroma leads the counter attack from Watford’s set piece and although having Perkins free on the right, takes on the shot which is well kept out by the Watford goalie.
The resulting corner is knocked back across by Happe for Clare who’s diving header is cleared off the line by Watford.
31 mins – A really good game so far, Watford with their best effort just now, with their player striking the ball well from the edge of the box, down to Simkin’s left hand side but he gets down low to brilliantly keep out the effort.
34 min – Another smart stop from Simkins denies Watford’s number nine. Simkin got his legs to a powerful low drive after Orient defenders closed down the available space well.
36 mins – Sonny Perkins is played in by Koroma this time but his effort is high and hit the side netting. Huge chance for Orient, as Watford had given away possession very poorly.
37 mins – Idris takes aim from 25 yards out but his curling effort just goes over the bar.

53 mins: GOAL! Bakinson scores! He squeezes in his effort cooly past the Watford goalie after great work by Connelly after first effort was blocked by a Watford defender. 1-0 Orient.
55 mins: GOAL! Moussa Sissoko cleans up in the box after Simkin blocks the Watford right backs first shot which comes out to Moussa, he faints once sending the Orient defence before cooling smashing the ball into the net. 1-1
67 mins: TJ puts in a superb delivery from a free-kick but REG is just too far away to tap the ball home.
76 mins – Watford have the ball in the net after a great cross by Bola which is volleyed home, but the linesmen has his flag up.
