Working with Phoenix FM was an amazing experience, and I am so grateful to be given such a fantastic opportunity. I learned all about jingles and tech behind the scenes, as well as the basics such as presenters’ information sources, and speaking into a microphone. I had lots of fun working with everyone, and my confidence grew as the week went on.
At the start of the week, I was very nervous about being on air. I was asked to read out the events guide, but I was reluctant at first. As soon as Tuesday came around, I went into the studio with more confidence and I read multiple events out every day.

I learned to speak slowly and clearly to be understood, and little things like how spinning on my chair could affect what people can hear when I’m speaking into a microphone.
