Good For The Soul – 8th June – Old Classics & New Releases.

Good For The Soul opened with a classic from Macy Gray this week, and played some of Soul’s biggest names with Kool & The Gang, Ben E King and Aretha Franklin, and some new releases from Olivia Dean and Tom Misch.

Soulful but not Soul was Indie and Pop inspired, with ABBA and the Miami Sound Machine getting you to your feet for a quick boogie, after Ed Sheeran’s newest track Old Phone, got us all feeling a bit emotional!

We spun back to 1998, the year that saw Geri Halliwell leave the Spice Girls, and Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill and Brandy & Monica dominate the charts.
