Upon hearing that the people of Essex are being treated to a Q&A with the author Monique Roffey herself at this year’s Essex Book Festival, I decided to revisit the first (and at the time of writing, only) book of Monique Roffrey’s I’ve read – The White Woman on the Green Bicycle. We discuss the divided response to the representation of Trinidad and enjoy some marvellous tunes.
