So perhaps a bit riskily we delved into the world of politics today, but in an effort to avoid any immediate controversies, we didn’t touch on any issues in the UK.
Nevertheless I’m hoping that I won’t become the target of any assassination attempts from overseas.
Anyway we started our foray in the Far East where it appears that some of the world’s leading despots are currently looking at ways of living forever, whilst at the same time continuing to weald all the levers of power
How do we know this?
Well “hot mic” conversations between Russia’s Vladimir Putin, China’s Xi Jin Ping and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un recently recorded their conversations on this very subject.
Putin suggested that advances in bio technology might allow us to even achieve immortality. Perhaps this is the reason behind the recent order by the Russian ministry of health for researchers to investigate ways of preventing cognitive decline and cellular aging. Indeed reportedly they’ve already spent 57 million rubles on bio printing, allowing printed skin to be applied directly to open wounds.
The Chinese leader, who like Putin is 72, pointed out that until recently few people lived beyond 70, but suggested that these days at that age you are still a child. He even suggested that it might soon be possible for people to live to 150.
A scientist from Latvia, currently working in China is ‘working on developing technologies for whole-body transplantation’ – and claimed that young organ or whole-body transplantation, also known as ‘body replacement’, even to the extent of head transplants is achievable!
But in order to try to be even handed, in the second hour we reported on our old friend, Donald Trump, who incredible as it seems now appears to be asking supporters to cough up $15 to book his place in Heaven.
Towards the end of last month e-mails titled,’I want to try and get to Heaven’ began to land in the inboxes of the president’s supporters.
It’s not exactly clear if Trump is aware of the fact that you can’t buy your way into heaven, no matter what Catholics used to think in the Middle Ages, but what is clear is that he’s giving a lot of thought to the afterlife.
The 24-HOUR TRUMP FUNDRAISING BLITZ asks everyone to chip in $15 to make it one for the record books!”
The message reads,
“Last year I came millimetres from death when that bullet pierced through my skin. My triumphant return to the White House was never supposed to happen! But I believe that GOD saved me for one reason: TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
I wasn’t supposed to beat “Crooked Hilary in 2016 – but I did.
I wasn’t supposed to secure the border and build the greatest economy in history – but I did.
I wasn’t supposed to survive an assassin’s bullet – but by the grace of almighty God, I did.
SO NOW I have no choice but to answer the Call of Duty, but I can’t do it alone.
Chris, you’ve been with me through everything.”
The US leader previously touched on the topic in an interview with Fox and Friends last month, acknowledging that he’s currently ‘bottom of the totem pole’ when it comes to meeting the credentials for getting into heaven.
“I want to try to get to heaven if possible, but I’m hearing I’m not doing well. I’m really at the bottom of the totem pole, which may be due in part to my failure to halt Russia’s on-going invasion of Ukraine.
Pass the bowl!
I very much hope that you’ll be able to join me again tomorrow for another outing,
Scott
