One 2 Three Friday 5.9.25 Julie Hardy Smashing the stigma

Julie reminded us about the Smashing the stigma event happening at Butterfly Meadow, Hall Lane, Shenfield on Saturday 13th of September 12 noon – 4 p.m.  The initiative for the inaugeral event last year was a suicide in Julie’s family. Building on the success of the event last year, a wide group of agencies that can provide help with be available to explain their activities. Julie stated passionately that the stigma was that no-one knows how to talk about suicide or how to speak to a relative or friend who is grieving. Anyone of any faith or none can just come along. Refreshments will be available

Julie told us that she has already undertaken two harvest festival services in care homes. She still has a service in each of her three churches and two local schools to undertake.

More information can be found on the Facebook pages of the churches in Navestock, Kelvedon Hatch and Bentley Common. She also briefly mentioned Tools with a Mission that will receive old tools, refurbish them and then send them to countries Africa. The website has to a tool to enable you to locate people who will receive donations of tools.

The Bangles – Eternal flame – 1989 No 1 in UK, USA & 7 more countries. Top 10 in another 12 countries. Drummer with then band Debbi Peterson is 64 years old.

Five – Keep movin – 1999 No 1 in UK & Hungary. Top 10 in 11 more countries. Singer in the band Ritchie Neville is 46 years old.

Van Morrison – Cutting corners – from the 2025 album – Remember now – UK no 11, German no 6, Switzerland no 8, Netherlands no 11. Last Sunday Van celebrated his 80th birthday.

Thanks to Chris, Bob and Sarah in Harlow, Julie in the studio, Patrick in Ingatestone and Sian in New South Wales for taking part today. The winners with 4 points were Sian and Patrick. Julie was thrilled to have scored one point.

Alen Price set – The house that Jack built. Patrick in Ingatestone requested this 1967 UK no 4, New Zealand no 9 & Top 20 in Ireland and the Netherlands.
