A cruel joke

With the weather finally deciding to perk up a bit, many of us may now be turning our attention to holidays.

A short time ago a guy from South Ockendon named Lewis Cullinan, took his dad plus a group of his mates to a 3-dad stag do in Benidorm.

After a no doubt riotous but enjoyable break, whilst they were getting ready to return home, Lewis asked his dad if he could find space in his suitcase for a bluetooth speaker, as there was no room in his own case.

But while they were queuing to check in their bags at Alicante Airport, Lewis hit “play”on an explicit video file stored on his phone.

Suddenly a loud X-rated sound of a woman moaning, started booming out of his dad’s suitcase.

As you can imagine this resulted in his dad becoming seriously confused and embarrassed.

There was also quite a bit of attention, and indeed, hilarity from many other passengers queuing at the airport as the sounds continued to echo round the departure lounge.

After a while the moans suddenly stopped, only to resume after a brief interlude with even more gusto, at which stage, suddenly realising the potential implications, and in a bit of a panic, Lewis found himself unable to remember how to turn it off.

Well that be a lesson for the future!

Later today I was joined by Margaret Mills who told us about a couple of, no doubt much better behaved, naturalist brothers from Epping – Henry and Edward Doubleday.

From their earliest days they had spent considerable periods of time in Epping Forest researching and detailing the habits of the wildlife to be found there.

Much of their research especially in the field of birds, butterflies and moths continues to be used and consulted by students even today.

You can learn more by listening here to what Margaret told me today: –

I’m not here next week but I hope to see you once more in couple of week,
Scott
